Toshi Jackson was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  With a Bachelor and Masters of Arts degrees in Music from California State University at Los Angeles, Toshi has worked her way up in the entertainment industry performing in commercials such as Michael Jackson's Pepsi endorsement, along with cameo roles in television.  She has also worked at Motown Records in Los Angeles under the apprenticeship of the late Hal Davis (Jackson 5 producer).  Her former Vegas-style show called, "The New Supremes" was the opening act for such artists as Tom Jones and Aretha Franklin, taking her around the world where she ended up in Calgary performing during the 1988 Winter Olympics. Toshi is the arranger, choreographer and music director of the show.  Another highlight in Toshi's career was on February 5, 2009, headlining for the legendary Temptations at a fundraiser for the purchase of Western Canada's first trauma RAPTOR operating room.  As a music teacher, Toshi has come up her own unique teaching style and has had the opportunity to produce seven shows  for Shaw Cable called, "Vocal Power Boot Camp", which ran for 12 weeks.  One of her former student, "Kayla Lovan" won the David Foster "Star Search" competition in 2010 in Calgary.  Toshi was also awarded "Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award" in 2011, honoring those who have had a direct impact while living in Canada." With so many life challenges, it is nice to be able to do what I love and that is to share the God given gift of music with others through singing, dancing, acting and musicianship".
