Ruth-Anne holds a degree in Piano Performance from the University of British Columbia, where she studied with Jane Coop and Robert Rogers.  She has taught and performed for over 15 years.

She believes music is an essential part of a child’s education, and further that the process of musical training increases cognitive development and helps children (and adults!) develop to their full potential.

She teaches and performs popular and classical music, as well as chording in any genre.  She has taught children as young as four through to senior adults, beginner to advanced, including those preparing to enter university as music majors.   She is thoroughly familiar with the Royal Conservatory of Music examination system and can prepare students for examinations from Preparatory through ARCT.  She also teaches Rudiments, Harmony, and History.

In addition to the piano, Ruth-Anne plays saxophone, clarinet, and limited but enthusiastic cello.
