Kristine began her musical education at the age of five with piano lessons. Currently, she holds her Teaching Elementary Piano Certification and Grade 10 Diploma from The Royal Conservatory of Music. Having earned a Music Entrance Scholarship after her successful piano audition at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where she currently studies her Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance under the instruction of Dr. Jane Hayes, she has become an active member of the Piano Chamber Ensemble, Collaborative Piano, and Wind Symphony. She has been honoured to work with renowned musicians and professors including the Borealis String Quartet, Dr. Hultgren, Dr. Justin Krawitz, and Dr. Jim Sparks, through whom her expertise with music and piano was gained. For over 6 years, she has been a piano accompanist and a Choir at her church. Besides, as a flutist, she was also involved with the provincial BCMEA Honour Wind Ensemble, and an adult community band, Maple Ridge Concert Band.
Kristine has a strong desire to teach and help others as she would like to pursue her career in Music Therapy and Education. Her diverse teaching experiences include working as a both private and studio piano/music theory teacher, a flute clinician for secondary school students, a Sunday School teacher, and volunteering as a tutor. Therefore, she is able to communicate well with younger students and create a friendly and encouraging a learning environment for them. Because of her true passion and love for both music and mentoring, she is willing to inspire her students and help them grow as a better musician, but most importantly experience the unbridled joy of music.
